Bespoke beverage provider fortified by tea deal
Mad Hatter Tea has won a contract to supply its unique blend of tea to one of Darlington's more eye-catching businesses, the Little Coffee Van. The two businsses met through Twitter, after Gill Cartwright, owner of the Little Coffee Van, was searching for a top quality tea to complement her range of high-end bespoke beverages.
The tea supplied by Mad Hatter Tea Company is the result of 10 years of painstaking research by Michael Harrison to find the ultimate cup of tea. It's a combination of Kenyan and Indian tea, precisely blended to give a consistenty rich depth of colour and full flavour. And it is ethically produced, sourced through the Ethical Tea Partnership - an alliance which supports the sustainability of tea plantations across the world.
Gill and Micheal posed for the press photographers in Darlington's market place.
Little Coffee Van uses in Italian Piaggio Ape (pronouned ap-ah) which is Italian for bee, as it is small enough to buzz around. It carries freshly roasted coffee which can be prepared many different ways by a professional barista. The Little Coffee Van has the capability of producing 240 cups of Cappucino per hour or 400 cups of Espresso.
Mad Hatter's Michael Harrison says the Little Coffee Van, despite its name, is a big player across the North East and he is delighted to get on board. Little Coffee Van is available for hire and is seen at many public, private and corporate events, often with queues twenty deep. "By supplying to this popular beverage provider, many more people will be able to taste our tea and enjoy a real taste of wonderland" he said.
